six years more of trash software?

How many years must I tolerate constant reboots per day, operating system freeze, hours of inserting/removing installation CD’s, very low performance, automagic — some people call it automatic — and unwanted window popup to the front of the desktop, non customizable widgets on my desktop applications, poor look and feel customization, malware, spyware, trojans, feeling insecure while I’m browsing the web, low profile firewall or packet filter customization, undocumented services, non resolving problems knowledge base, long time loosed resolving trivial issues with incompatible drivers and software, operating system crashes by third party application — non preempted kernel? —, bloat usage of hardware resources, non working multithreading environment, non working multitasking environment, non balanced load arround hardware resources, slow filesystems, hours of hatred, and many things that don’t come to my mind now…

Wintendo — some people call it Windows, and I call it Wintendo because it works fine only with games — in his two desktop flavors Vista and the back from the dead Windows XP aren’t a good alternative for me, and never will be a real operating system alternative for me.

I’m really bored of them, because I get all these kind of errors and more. I must work with these operating systems because I’ve learned about .REATRD — You call it .NET, I call it .RETARD because for me isn’t productive, It has a lot of undocumented errors and not working features — and know a little about it, the framework is huge, but poor on single tasks such as integrating full featured AJAX applications, and works on half ways that I get with other languages and JavaScript frameworks. Also writing custom controls never is covered by the cost of any project that I’ve worked on — I loose many time resolving problems, than creating new things — and always I get tired of known bugs that affect directly my work and overall, my time…

If you ask me, I don’t want to work with Micro$oft products anymore. With my *NIX — well, call it UNIX — knowledge, I can work with *BSD systems, Linux systems and Mac OS X systems, that I prefer over Micro$oft products. Honestly, I have changed mi resume indicating that I don’t work with Micro$oft products. The result here in Chile is that noone is currently calling me for new jobs. Then I think, I must look outside, where people is smarter and use better operating systems and wants to be really productive.

I see as example of this to Europe, where goverment institutions are migrating to Linux and these kind of operating systems, that runs under Open Standards, these standatds bring me rock solid stability in what vendor changes concerns. I mean, Open Standard works shoulder to shoulder with the comunity, including an intrinsic democratic development.

Some people — regullary — says “I use Micro$oft products because are easy to use“. But, what about when they get their machines contaminated with some kind of malware?, or when they buy some new hardware and the system crashes?. Usually, they finish on any of the IRC servers where I chat, and they ask to Linux people about their problem. Where is the easy to use fact? The help wizards don’t help much, the knowledge base isn’t known and isn’t linked from the help wizard, and not many people reads english…

Another reason that I hate Winblows — it will blow all your hardware resources without mercy — is that I get hurried by my boss on certain tasks and then I get any kind of system crash, someone have said me: “don’t hurry the machine“. Where is the multitasking and multithreading support on these operating systems? I really bring more instructions to my notebook — that runs Linux — and my desktop workstation — that runs FreeBSD — and I get much better results, in example, I can load a queue — that was done only as an experiment — with up to 15.000 tracks of music on my favorite music player under Linux or FreeBSD, the player do not crash and the operating system continues his work. Try a similar task under Winblows

Someone has recommend me to use the server editions, but I don’t see the difference. I’m under the same risks using these operating systems, the kernel don not differs much and file system is under the same design with a few version changes… not more that. And also, all these undocumented services bloating the machine, and how to know which one must be deactivated…

Everyone knows that Konqueror offer real support for CSS Level 2 and a part of Level 3, also passes the Acid 2 test. I was looking the page of the Winblows Vista operating system to take a look on what is offering this product. I’m not surprised of looking this:
Micro$oft Designers Sucks

After this, I don’t need to think about buying a copy of Winblows Vista
