Another great book is "Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs", there is a Python version of that book (all examples on the original one are Lisp examples). The list of books is extensive. TAOCP is too much for me, I only have one volume Semi Numerical Algorithms, and a very bad translation to spanish of the 1st volume. But Bentley's Book always give me some insight.
